Where charm and comfort unite in perfection.

The Flying BR cattle brand initially marked the first herd at Boys Ranch, guided by the Albuquerque Kiwanis Club as a response to juvenile delinquency. Albert Buck, along with others, led the endeavor, resulting in the acquisition of 2,600 acres south of Belen and the construction of the first building. Despite initial challenges, including the tragic loss of Buck in 1951, Walker Hubbard’s leadership stabilized the Ranch’s operations. With subsequent leadership changes, including Mike Kull’s tenure from 1972, the Ranch expanded, leading to the formation of the Girls Ranch, Hart Youth Ranch, Families for Children, and a Foundation during the 1980s.

In addition to its storied history, Homes For Life is proud to be part of the ongoing legacy of Boys Ranch. Currently, we are spearheading the construction of a new facility for the Ranch, symbolizing our commitment to its continued growth and the well-being of the children it serves. This project represents a new chapter in the Ranch’s journey, further solidifying its place as a beacon of hope and opportunity for young individuals in need.
